Welcome to St. Markβs Cathedral
Established in 1808, St. Markβs Cathedral stands as one of the most historic and spiritually significant churches in Bengaluru. For over two centuries, it has served as a beacon of faith, worship, and community life in the heart of the city.
Located on Mahatma Gandhi Road, the Cathedral is the seat of the Diocese of Karnataka under the Church of South India (CSI). Generations of believers have gathered here to worship, celebrate sacraments, and grow together in Christ.

School of Church Music
The St Markβs Ecumenical Centre for church Music, located at the cathedral was established in 1990, with the intention of training musicians and music enthusiasts, on church music. It is open for all people, irrespective of affiliations of religion, denomination or church. The candidates prepare for the Trinity College of Music and Royal School of Music examinations in violin, piano, music theory and singing.
St. Mark completed its 200 years and Bicentenary celebrations tool place by launching various programs during the year 2007-2008.
Spiritual Life & Worship
Worship at St. Markβs Cathedral follows the rich Anglican liturgical tradition, centered on Scripture, Sacrament, and Prayer. The Cathedral hosts regular Holy Communion services, festival celebrations, diocesan gatherings, and special prayer services.
Major Christian observances such as Christmas, Holy Week, Good Friday, and Easter are celebrated with reverence and community participation.
