Christian Marriage at St. Mark’s Cathedral

Holy Matrimony is a solemn and joyful covenant instituted by God, in which a man and a woman are united in lifelong companionship, mutual love, and faithful commitment. Marriage services at St. Mark’s Cathedral are conducted according to the liturgy of the Church of South India.

The service includes Scripture readings, the exchange of vows and rings, prayers of blessing, and the pronouncement of God’s grace upon the couple.

Requirements & Preparation

• Pre-marital counselling with the Presbyter-in-Charge
• Baptism and Confirmation certificates
• Publication of Marriage Banns
• Submission of required Church records and documents
