Confirmation

A public confession of faith and a prayerful strengthening through the Holy Spirit for mature Christian discipleship.

Confirmation at St. Mark’s Cathedral

Confirmation is the sacred rite in which baptized members personally affirm their faith in Jesus Christ and renew the vows made at Baptism. Through the laying on of hands by the Bishop, candidates receive prayer for the strengthening and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

In the CSI tradition, Confirmation marks a deeper commitment to Christian life, worship, witness, and service within the Church.

Preparation for Confirmation

Sunday School and Bible instruction classes
Understanding of the Christian faith and CSI liturgy
Personal profession of faith
Commitment to prayer, worship, and Church fellowship
