Training Program on \u201cSafe usage of Social Media & Internet\u201d<\/h3>\n

With the objective creating an awareness on the risks and traps of Social media usage and to educate Children , youth & Parents on safe usage , a training program is organized . The program also empowers the participants with the skillsets to combat the dangers and vulnerabilities in Internet and enable them adapt correct usage of social media & tech devices. The program will be conducted by Mr. Sebastian M.S. ( Cyber law & Cyber Security) Director \u2013 Deloitte India, Former CBI Officer & Master Trainer in Technology Crimes investigation \u2013 Interpol.<\/p>\n

Spoken Kannada Classes<\/h3>\n

To enable interested members acquiring conversational skills in Kannada and to help practical usage of local language in day-to- day life for non-Kannada speakers , Spoken Kannada Classes are being organized. The classes are proposed on Sundays for two hours with class room and practical sessions.<\/p>\n

Program will be structured through a work-book for learning Kannada through English which will be provided as part of the program. Interested members can fill up the Registration form available for this purpose in church office. Further details will be shared shortly , based on the response .         \nGlory to God! Greetings from the Community Care Team!<\/p>\n

        With the society around us being pluralistic and the world becoming inter-dependent in this Knowledge Economy, it has become imperative for leveraging our talents to be of value to our own fellow members and be of service to the outreach initiatives to glorify God. In this direction it has been initiated to map the talent available in our church based on the profession. As of now we have enlisted 15 categories viz., Doctors, Advocates, Teachers, Engineers, Entrepreneurs & more can be added. Every one of us brings in some talent which is of value if provided with a suitable opportunity. St. Mark\u2019s Cathedral is blessed with a reservoir of immense talent across various fields in all age groups. We are initially creating an inventory of professional talent to reach out in times of need by any of the fellow members. The objectives are broad based and are enlisted below:<\/p>\n

        • To utilize your talent \u2013 knowledge, skills as a resource person for any of the Community care projects as and when convenient to you<\/li>\n
        • To provide a valuable professional advice to a fellow member who can reach out to you directly and share the gift of knowledge<\/li>\n
        • To be a Mentor or a Coach for the growing young population, in the church, for whom your timely guidance would be of priceless value and help them in their informed decision making process.<\/li>\n
        • To add value to your own professional and personal life by directly networking with fellow members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Participation in this talent mapping is voluntary and not binding for making a commitment. However, we would encourage every member to participate in this exercise and be of value to our fellow members in the church circle.               Our Dream is service. For the St. Marks family, service is a priority. To serve the community, one should have the compassion, without no one is able to serve. Mother Teresa said \u201cThe dangerous disease today is not leprosy or HIV, but it is unwantedness, lack of love\u201d. Everytime you smile at someone or stranger it is an action of love, it is a gift to that person. If you judge a person, you have no time to love them.<\/p>\n
